Prime Immigration Office is a paralegal document-preparation office. We are not a law firm. This page explains, in plain language, our legal scope, the laws that govern us, and when you need a licensed attorney.
What we are
Document preparation. We gather, organize, and complete USCIS, Department of State, IRS, and consular forms — exactly per the official instructions and the information you provide us.
Certified translation. Certified EN↔PT translations with signed certification of competence, in the format required by USCIS and US courts.
Logistical coordination. Biometrics scheduling, case status tracking, deadline reminders, and evidence organization — always following direct instruction from the client or the attorney of record.
Clear communication. Bilingual service (Portuguese and English), explanation of each step, and written confirmation of what was done and what remains pending.
What we are not
- No member of our team is a licensed attorney in the US or Brazil. We hold no bar license.
- We do not recommend which visa to file, do not interpret your legal eligibility, and do not opine on immigration strategy.
- We do not file Form G-28 (Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney) and do not appear before USCIS, EOIR (Immigration Court), or any federal agency on your behalf.
- We do not appear at hearings, do not respond to Notices to Appear (NTA), and do not prepare motions, briefs, or appeals.
- The decision on your case rests exclusively with USCIS, the consulate, or the presiding judge. No outcome can be promised by us or by any other provider.

We operate within a specific legal framework that distinguishes document preparation from the practice of law. These are the official sources — read them directly.
When you need an attorney
In several scenarios, we refer you to an independent licensed attorney. We receive no commission for referrals. This list is not exhaustive — when in doubt, we refer.
Notario Fraud — why this matters
In Latin American countries, "notario público" is a legal figure with formal legal training. In the United States, "notary public" is simply someone authorized to acknowledge signatures. This difference creates confusion — and serious harm to the Brazilian and Latin community.
People posing as attorneys, selling "guaranteed green card packages," charging thousands of dollars to fill out basic forms, or promising impossible results. Consequences include financial loss, ruined cases, and in serious situations, deportation due to false information submitted to USCIS.
Prime Immigration Office supports the ABA national initiative against notario fraud. We are transparent about our scope, price in writing before work begins, deliver receipts for everything done, and refer to an attorney whenever the case requires it.
